Khanh Hoa Province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on January 16 announced 7 more communes qualified for new rural areas in 2017. Those are Ninh Binh, Ninh Dong, Ninh Hung (in Ninh Hoa Township), Dien Toan, Dien Hoa (in Dien Khanh District), Cam Hoa and Cam Hiep Bac in Cam Lam District.
Up to now, 35 communes in Khanh Hoa qualified for new rural areas. In 2018, the province targets to have 4 more communes, raising the rate of new rural areas to 41%.
