To solve difficulties in support businesses damaged by the storm Damrey, Khanh Hoa Province People’s Committee host a meeting with departments to look for solutions.

At the meeting, facilitating businesses to lend capital for recovering production was focused on.

During the past time, departments at all levels in the province give support to businesses to repair damage by the storm Damrey. The State Bank – Khanh Hoa Branch, the provincial Tax Department, the provincial Department of Finance, the provincial Labor Union and the provincial Social Insurance are highly appreciated in practical and timely support for the damaged businesses.

Pernament Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Son Hai, highly appreciated efforts of departments in the province. He also confirmed that beside visiting, delaying or exempting tax, etc, the most important thing is helping enterprises access capital to re-invest and repair damage. “We have to look for solutions to approach capital with low interest rate. Even, mortgage is not required to some cases as many enterprises lost property in the storm”, he emphasized.

Concerned with enterprises’ lending, Do Trong Thao, deputy director of the State Bank – Khanh Hoa Branch, said, “53 borrowers under Decree 55 by the Government (on credit policy for rural area and agriculture development) with total loans of VND55 billion and 169 borrowers beyond this decree with total loans of VND630 billion were suffering damage by the storm. Right after the storm, credit institutions checked loans of people and businesses damaged by the storm, and carried out measures to support borrowers to restore and stabilize production like rescheduling debt payment time, reducing or exempting interests, etc.”

The State Bank - Khanh Hoa Branch also suggested the provincial People’s Committee petitioning the Prime Minister for supporting damaged people and enterprises. Besides, the State Bank - Khanh Hoa Branch proposed some solutions to support repairing damage. The bank branch also suggested the provincial People’s Committee supporting enterprises to be lent with interest rate of 4%/year in 12 months. Maximum loan for individuals is VND0.3 billion and that for enterprises is VND4 billion.

To support capital for enterprise timely, Pernament Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Son Hai entrusted the State Bank - Khanh Hoa Branch and the provincial Department of Finance to survey to distribute finance reasonably. “We have to help enterprises to access capital. The finance is limited, therefore we need set up specific requirements for enterprises to enjoy preferential policy, and then recover production rapidly”, said he.
