Lots of new choices of Tet present baskets

Supermarkets, shops and confectionery booths in markets have started selling many kinds of present baskets for the lunar new year 2018 (Tet). 

 

At Xom Moi Market this time, there are a lot of eye-catching baskets of presents. Most of present baskets contain confectionery, jam, tea, wine. Some of them are fruits. 

 

Some shops are selling impressive present baskets well-decorated in one color like purple, bronze, red, etc. Price of such a present basket is from VND800,000. Selling a red present basket, Mai Hien Trang, living in Vo Tru Street, Nha Trang, said “Every year I buy present baskets to give my relatives. This year, I’ve chosen some new-style red present baskets with a hope to bring lucks to them.”

 

There are many other kinds of present baskets like spice baskets (including cooking oil, fish sauce, soya sauce, etc.), present baskets  with products of Khanh Hoa Salangane Nests Company, cantaloupe baskets, Korean pear baskets (Lotte Mart), etc.

 

 

 

In supermarkets, Tet present baskets are placed in a sector for buyers to choose. Representatives of the supermarkets in Nha Trang shared that the number of present basket models and sales have risen year-by-year. Accoring to Luong Quoc Thinh, marketing manager of Co.opmart Nha Trang, for this Tet holiday, the supermarkets has 42 models of present baskets with prices from VND99,000 to VND1,99 million. Up to this time, nearly 2,500 baskets of presents have been ordered, increasing by 2.5 times year-on-year. 

 

Big C Nha Trang also offers 33 kinds of ready-made present baskets with producers for Tet. Their prices range from VND79,000 to VND2 million each. If customers choose other products to make present baskets, wrapping is free of charge. “This time, purchase for present baskets are rising. Present baskets worth from VND300,000 to VND600,000 are the most favorite”, said Vu Thanh Tan, PR manager of Big C Vietnam.
