In the fishery breeder area Ninh Tinh (in Ninh Phuoc Commune), a lot of sweet snail and shrimp farms have been rebuilt and backed to operation. Ngo Dinh Duc, an owner of some sweet snail farms, said, “Because of the lack in capital, I have restored only three breeding farms. I’m raising more than 10 sweet snails for breeding purpose.” He also shared that current demand for sweet snail breeders is big; therefore, fishery farms make efforts to restore production to supply enough breeders for raisers. He has been ordered 50 million breeders, but his three just-recovered farms haven’t satisfied customers’ demand. He is managing to recover two other farms.
In Ninh Phuoc Commune, there are about 110 sweet snail breeder producing operations. 80% of them have been repaired after the storm Damrey and 30% of them have backed to production. Nguyen Van Tinh, a sweet snail raiser in Ninh Hai Ward, share, “My two ponds were restored 10 days ago, but I cannot buy breeders to raise. I’m expect breeder farms to produce as well as before.”
Nguyen Thi Nhu Phuong, director of Phuong Hai Nha Trang Private Business, shared that, “3 farms of sea fish in Ninh Ich Commune and Ninh Loc Commune (Ninh Hoa Town) and some farms in Van Ninh District and Nha Trang City suffered damage caused by the storm Damrey but our businesses have finished the repair.” This businesses have produced a number of fish breeders.
According to Pham Ngoc Khanh, vice-chairman of Ninh Ich Commune People’s Committee, the commune has 40 businesses producing breeders of cobia fish, shrimps, sweet snails, etc. Up to this time, 40% of the businesses have backed to production.
According to statistics of Ninh Hoa Town Economic Department, despite difficulties, more than 80% of breeder producing businesses have repaired farms, and 40% of them have backed to production. “It’s the time to start breeding crop of 2018, supply enough breeders helps breeding timely”, said Dang Cuu, manager of Ninh Hoa Town Economic Department.
