Cam Lam mango price rises sharply

Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province has nearly 5,000 hectares of mango trees. 60% of them are Australian mango trees. The storm Damrey in end 2017 caused more than 1,700 hectares of mango trees fall in, but growers have restored the mango growing area.

These days, farmers in Cam Lam District are harvesting mangoes for Tet market. First grade mangoes are selling at VND110,000/kg; second grade mangoes are at VND60,000/kg. The prices make an increase of about VND20,000/kg. Taiwan mangoes are from VND13,000/kg to VND20,000/kg. However, sellers said that mango price may go down when Tet comes nearer.
