Despite the storm Damrey in end 2017, flowers here suffered little damage and grow well in the favorable weather these days. The whole district has 100 daisy growing households with more than 70,0000 pots, mainly in Cam Hai Tay Commune, Cam Thanh Bac Commune and Cam Duc Town. Several tens of households grow other kinds of flowers like sword lily, rose, etc. with 1,000 – 3,000/household.
At present, a daisy pot is priced from VND150,000 to VND1 million, depending on size. Growers said that this year, flower prices have increased by 10% - 15% because of increases in investment cost and labor cost.
