Khanh Hoa Province Department of Industry and Trade on March 15 organized a ceremony to launch Vietnam Consumer Right Day 2018 in the province with the theme “Healthy business – Sustainable Consumption”. This was an occasion to the authorities, organizations and enterprise to assess the work to protect consumer rights during the past time.
At the launching ceremony, Phan Thi Thu Cuc, deputy director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that the theme of “Healthy business - Sustainable Consumption” set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to call businesses to implement regulations on protecting consumer rights, create a healthy and fair business environment, consider consumers as a measure for the development of the market and partly build a sustainable consumer environment. The provincial Department of Industry and Trade will continue directing the market management force and the inspectors to strengthen controlling the market, discover violations of goods and trade frauds…to protect consumer rights.

Also at the ceremony, businesses and supermarkets in the province signed a commitment with the authority to obey regulations and standards on product quality to sell to consumers.
Vo Dinh Dung, director of Co.opmart Nha Trang, said that the supermarket is always aware of managing and preserving products as well as require suppliers to perfect their products to limit complaints influencing prestige of the supermarket. Policies on product changing or refunding are required to be declared obviously and complaints have to be solved promptly.
Activities in response to the Vietnam Consumer Right Day 2018 start from March and lasts in the whole year. The provincial Department of Industry and Trade calls units and businesses to join by some activities like stepping up propaganda about the Vietnam Consumer Right Day on media, support product warranty, consult how to use products safely and economically, have promotions for consumers, etc.
