In 2018, beside frequent duties, agriculture encouragement in Khanh Hoa Province focues on recovering models influenced by the storm Damrey in end 2017.
In the sum-up of agriculture encouragement work in 2017 organized by the provincial Agriculture Encouragement Center, effectiveness of most models wasn’t assessed wholely due to the unfavorable weather in 2017. The storm Damrey damaged a large area of farming.

According to Huynh Kim Khanh, director the provincial Agriculture Encouragement Center, one of main duties of the agriculture encouragement tasks in 2018 is building planting – breeding models, then assessing their results and replicating them.
In the first quarter of 2018, agriculture encouragers focus on checking detail damages and lauching measures to repair damages and recover models which are suitable and effective. “This time, agriculture encouragement aim to models which are suitable with the planning and able to adapt climate change”, Khanh emphasized. In changing climate like now, high-tech farming is encouraged. It helps farmers control watering, fertilizing, temperature, humidity, etc. to create favorable weather for plants, not depending on natural weather too much.
In 11 agriculture encouragement models performed in 2018, there will be 12 hectares of rice grown newly, 6 hectares of rice raised by nano fertilizers, model of growing peanuts on garlic growing soil, model of ecomonic watering, etc. All the models try to put high-yield varieties into production. The new varities are durable in different weather. It’s very neccesary now as the weather changes unusually, which is unfavorable for planting.
