With 10 new rural communes, Dien Khanh District is leading the number in comparison with other localities in Khanh Hoa Province. In the time to come, the district will keep looking for measures and effective economic models to raise income for locals.
In the period of 2011 – 2015, Dien Khanh District had 7 new rural communes. From 2016 to now, Dien Khanh has more new rural communes. Dien Thanh Commune is expected to be new rural commune in 2018; Dien Binh, Dien Loc and Suoi Tien in 2019 and 2020. Till 2020, Dien Khanh strives to have 14 new rural communes. Three rest communes of Dien Dong, Dien Xuan and Dien Tan will be invested in the period of 2020 – 2025.

According to the district’s leadership, in recent years, out of about 4,000 hectares of two rice crops, Dien Khanh has set up about 1,700 hectares producing seed rice in combination with purchase businesses, partly raising income for rice growers. In addition, Dien Khanh District has advantaged as it’s located beside Nha Trang City and surrounded by Suoi Dau Industrial Zone, Dac Loc Industrial Group, Vinh Phuong Industrial Group, Song Cau Industrial Group, etc. These places create jobs and raise income for laborers in Dien Khanh. It helps the ten new rural areas to be qualified significant norms like income, employed laborers, poor households, etc.
According to the district Party Committee, in the process of building new rural areas, the Party, the authority and the people in Dien Khanh attend to develop production and raise income for locals. The development programs have created positive change in the local socioeconomic development structure. Farmers not only can apply scientific technologies into production but also can create the connection between farmers and purchase businesses.
