Le Duc Vinh, Deputy Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial People’s Committee Chairman, Le Xuan Than – Chief of the provincial Delegation of the National Assembly and Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Council, and leaders of departments in the province also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, businesses and project management boards reported their operation in the first six months of the year. Most of them reported good results. Director of Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company Nguyen Anh Hung said that the company attained VND2,485 in turnover, delivering VND320 billion to the State budget (fullfilling 64% of the year’s plan). Its member company continued investing more production lines and equipment to raise productivity. Infrastructures of Song Cau Industrial Group have been sped up to hand over ground to secondary investors.
The operation of Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) was also thriving in the first half of this year with total turnover of VND3,536 billion (a 7% rise year-on-year), delivering VND1,300 billion to the State budget. “Industries and units belonging to Khatoco operated stably and made year-on-year growth. The tobacco industry sold 268 packs of cigarrettes in the local market and exported 142 packs of cigarrettes. Revenue of tourism rose by 12%, that of textile garment increased by 5%”, said General Director of Khatoco Le Tien Anh.
Project management boards in the province also worked well in the first six months of the year. Ground clearance of projects was on schedule. Projects like Phong Chau road, road from Nha Trang to Da Lat, road from Nha Trang to Dien Khanh…were mostly finished. Many other projects are also in progress.
However, businesses and project management boards also had some difficulties, especially in human resources and conditions for production. The businesses presented their difficulties, and the provincial leadership gave specific solutions to each cases.
