In 2018, 756 households in Khanh Son District changed more than 386 hectares of ineffective plants into green-skin grapefruits, rambutans, durians and purple sugarcane. The households were supported with 50% of expenses to buy seeds, fertilizers and plant protection products, and 30% of expenses to buy materials to build economic watering system.
Additionally, some cooperative groups in farming have been set up towards large-scale production.
