Overseas remittance rising
Overseas remittance volume Vietcombank Khanh Hoa has reached USD43.3 million, increasing by 10% year-on-year. The figure via BIDV Khanh Hoa has hit USD10 million, a 7.7% increase year-on-year. The figure via Agribank Khanh Hoa for 10 months of Agribank Khanh Hoa has been USD9.2 million (a 2.38% rise year-on-year) and is expected to reach about USD10.6 million in the whole year. The overseas money from relatives abroad has remained stable and grown up year-by-year while the overseas money from labor export hasn’t been much but is rising. Outputs of remittances are depositing to banks to enjoy interests, investing in production and service, hoarding gold, and investing real estate and consumption.
According to a report of the World Bank, with USD13.8 billion, in 2017, Vietnam ranked the 10th in countries receiving the biggest remittances.
Absorbing more overseas remittance
Agribank Khanh Hoa is supplying a lot of products for overseas remittance payment like accounts, Western Union, through banks (for example BNY Mellon Taipei and China Trust Bank in Taiwan, Kookmin Bank and Nonghyup Bank in Korea…). This bank also offers promotions for overseas money, specific deposit program for overseas money.
Banks forecast that overseas money will rise in year-end time as usual when overseas Vietnamese send money to their relatives.
