Focusing on main markets
According to the leadership of the provincial People’s Committee, in 2019, the province will mobilize capital, especialy foreign direct investment to exploit maritime economy potentials in three main economic areas of the province, including Nha Trang City, Cam Ranh Bay and Van Phong Economic Zone, effectively. The province requires investment promotion activities to focus on strategy partners, main places abroad and projects with big added value and friendly with environment.
According to the leadership of the provincial Investment Promotion and Business Support Center, under the Investment Promotion Program 2019, Khanh Hoa Province will aim to main markets, including Japan, Korea, the US, some countries in EU, ASEAN and countries have diplomatic relations with the province. Besides, the province will call multinational corporations to spread business network and partnership relations.
Phan Thanh Liem, director of the provincial Investment Promotion and Business Support Center, the whole Khanh Hoa Province has 90 FDI projects. In 2018, the province focused investment promotion on Japan, therefore, this market promises prospects this year. At the present, Japan has 7 FDI projects in the province, but making 73.98% of the registered investment (about USD2.7 billion/USD3.56 billion). Some Japanese businesses have suggested signing with local businesses to open tours in Nha Trang. With the support of Japanese partners, some Japanese companies have signed memorandum with the province.

Priority to high-technology fields
In 2019, the province will focus on promoting high-tech agriculture, industries in information technology, digital technology, nano technology, precision technology, clean industry, energy and new materials to welcome the industrial revilution 4.0. Besides, the province will develop industry, focusing on attracting investment to develop infrastructure of economic zones, industrial zones and industrial groups; attracting secondary projects on fields like energy equipment, electronic equipment, home equipment, processing of agricultural, forest, sea products, sea ports, ship building, clean energy, ect.
In agriculture, Khanh Hoa’s direction of development is applying high and sustainable technology to manufacture products with good quality and high productivity. The province will forward connections home and abroad to develop tourism services and train human resource, especially high-level humans in science and technology to supply satisfying laborers for investors.
