According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, localities in the province have registered to change 777 hectares of plants. As planned, the province’s budget will support VND9.2 billion for farmers in Khanh Son District to grow 262 hectares of durian trees, 50 hectares of green grape-fruits and 5 hectares of purple sugarcane this year. In 2018, Khanh Son District had a bumper crop of durians. They earned VND200 million – VND400 million on one hectare of durian trees. It has encouraged farmers in changing plants.
In Van Ninh District, 230 hectares is expected to be changed into growing fruit trees in 2019.
According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, basing on the registration of localities, the department has checked and made plan to support agricultural production in 2019, and submitted to the provincial People’s Committee. This year, the whole province will change 777 hectares of plants, support concentrated livestock industry to more than 34,000 head of cattle and poultry, and support 1 high-technology application model. Total expenditure for this is estimated to be nearly VND43.4 billion, including VND18.7 billion from the province’s State budget and the rest from reciprocal capital of the people.
