Specifically, prices of normal baked cakes and sticky cakes weighing from 120g to 150g range from VND50,000 to VND70,000/cake. Cakes with more weight from 210g to 800g are priced from 85,000 to 800,000 VND each. Expensive cakes cost from VND1.1 to 2.5 million/box. In addition, there are also vegetarian and diet cakes with ingredients such as almond green beans, black sesame, green tea, lotus seeds, chia seeds ..., priced from VND65,000 to 80,000/cake.

Besides moon cakes of familiar brands, in recent years, handmade moon cakes are chosen. They are often sold on social sites. However, quality and safety of such products are difficult to control. A local named Nguyen Thi Cam, living in Nha Trang City, said, “Every Mid-autumn Festival, I buy a few boxes of moon cakes for many family and to give my relatives. My priority is cakes with reputable brands and clear information.”
According to a leader of the provincial Market Management Agency, the agency and the provincial departments have inspection teams to check food hygiene and safety at moon cake production and trading establishments, thereby promptly prevent violations of food safety and hygiene to ensure the health for consumers.
