Ensuring electricity demand
According to the evaluation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Khanh Hoa power grid has basically met criteria in power under the national target program on new rural area construction, and ensure the safety of grid. Khanh Hoa Electricity also ensures a stable voltage for continuous power supply, meeting the demand for living, production, business and economic development in the province.
Nguyen Kim Hoang - Deputy General Director of PC Khanh Hoa said that in order to maintain the standards of rural electricity criteria, Khanh Hoa PC always pays attention to directing units to regularly inspect and review the system, number of households using electricity to promptly invest in renovating and upgrading areas where the electricity system is damaged, degraded and overloaded to calculate the investment. Currently, only 1% of households in remote and mountainous communes in Khanh Son mountainous district have not been supplied with electricity for daily use yet. It is expected that by 2020, Khanh Hoa PC will continue upgrading, renovating and expanding the rural electricity network to help supply power for these mountainous households.
It is known that in 2019, the province's electricity consumption reachd over 2 billion kWh (up nearly 15% over the previous year). Particularly in the summer months, electricity output increased sharply, in which electricity consumption of the hotels increased by more than 30%. With such consumption, Khanh Hoa PC continued to upgrade its substations. Recently, Khanh Hoa PC has invested thousands of billion dong in the grid system. In 2019, the unit invested more than VND 530 billion for 100 projects, partly improving the capacity of the grid system, especially the grid system in rural areas.
Investment to be continued
Besides the annual investment of the company, in the period of 2010 - 2019, the Central Power Corporation also supported more than VND 267 billion for the investment, including 2 major projects of improving distribution network in Ninh Hoa and supplying rural electricity from the national grid in Khanh Hoa province according to Project 2081. Up to now, under the Project 2081, 49 new transformer stations, 22,446 km of medium voltage lines, 175 km of low voltage lines, meters and branches have been built to ensure power for more than 7,000 households of 56 rural communes. Particularly, the project of improving distribution network in Ninh Hoa has been completed with more than 81 km of 22kV lines and 171 km of 0.4kV lines, along with nearly 14,000 additional transformer stations.
