Keeping food safety for lunar new year festival

From December 23, the province has established 155 inspection teams to check the items that have been used a lot during the Lunar New Year and at food services and street food, focusing on the focal points of production, import, wholesale markets, trade centers, supermarkets, slaughterhouses, food transportation; strengthen the supervision on smuggling, fake goods, bad quality goods, expired products, etc.

At the same time, the steering committees at all levels propagandize the message “Food safety for the Lunar New Year 2020” to 137 communes and wards across the province; mobilize food production and trading establishments to implement it.

 

Most of the food processing, manufacturing and trading establishments in the province have implemented the regulations on food safety and hygiene. Many establishments have declared the quality of food products and have maintained the quality; most products have clear origins, full labels, etc. However, there are still violations, for example, no qualified certificate, no certificate of food safety, no health certificate, wine selling license, violating regulations on labeling of goods, selling expired foods, etc.
