The local authory and investors are completing procedures to deploy the project of NK Van Ninh Solar Power Plant in Van Hung Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province. This project is expected to contribute to promoting local socio-economic development.
In 2018, Khanh Hoa Province People's Committee issued Decision No. 3604 for the investment policy of the NK Van Ninh Solar Power Plant project. At the end of 2019, the provincial People's Council issued Resolution 49 on the approval of the list of projects requiring land acquisition for socio-economic development for national an public purposes in 2020 in the province, one of which is the project of NK Van Ninh Solar Power Plant. Accordingly, the investor is NK Van Ninh Solar Power Development and Investment Limited Company. The project has a total area of 120ha with a total investment of VND 2,489.1 billion; design capacity is more than 100MWp; the electricity output of the plant is about 158,220MWh/year; operating period is 50 years. The factory is expected to be built, completed and put into operation win 33 months. The technology used for the plant is selected from the world top suppliers.

According to Vo Luc Pham - Vice Chairman of Van Ninh District People's Committee, the district is one of the localities with high sunshine hours and stable high heat radiation, which is suitable and convenient to develop solar power. This is also a field that the Government especially encourages investment. Solar power has been attracting domestic and foreign investors; therefore, investing in VK Van Ninh Solar Power Plant project is suitable for the development strategy. The project bears many expectations and opens a new phase in developing clean energy, high technology and bringing socio-economic efficiency to the locality. In particular, locating near Da Trang Slope Industrial Zone project will facilitate the supply of electricity for businesses and promote the development of this industrial zone.
