Within the framework of the working visit to Khanh Hoa Province, on June 22, Vincent Floreani, French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, worked with Khanh Hoa Development Investment Fund and paid a visit to the project funded by preferential loans of the French Development Agency (AFD).
From May 2017 to March 2019, AFD has disbursed EUR 10 million (nearly VND260 billion) for Khanh Hoa Development Investment Fund. This is the capital for investment projects to promote infrastructure development to provide better public products and services such as electricity, water, waste treatment, social housing, housing for low-income people, educational facilities, medical facilities, and hospitals.

As of now, Khanh Hoa Development Investment Fund has disbursed entire amount of the money for 12 projects, of which some projects have met urgent needs and actively contributed to the local socio-economic development, for example Phuoc Long VCN social housing project, HUD Phuoc Long social housing project, project on upgrading To Hap Water Plant (Khanh Son District), Vo Canh - Cau Dua investment project on upgrading water supply piping, investment project on clean water supplying system on Tri Nguyen Island, investment project on building and purchasing equipment for Olympia General and Family Doctor Clinic, and some electricity projects, etc.

On this occasion, the consul general visited Phuoc Long VCN social housing project, which comprise 500 social apartments funded by project’s investor and AFD preferential loans through Khanh Hoa Development Investment Fund with a committed capital of VND100 billion. After visiting the project's works, the consul general highly appreciated the investor’s efficient use of the capital, the supervision and lending process of Khanh Hoa Development Investment Fund, and the social values of the project.
