Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, recently chaired a meeting with Tuan Anh Consortium and investors about the investment in liquefied gas-fired power plant at Ninh Tinh Industrial Zone (Ninh Phuoc Commune, Ninh Hoa Town).
At the meeting, the investors proposed that the committee allow studies to invest in a liquefied gas-fired power plant in Ninh Tinh Industrial Zone at an area of about 200 hectares (out of 560 hectares of the industrial zone). Southern Van Phong with a deep-water port is considered to be very favorable for developing gas-fired power. This investment is also consistent with the national energy development trend and plan.

Concluding the meeting, Nguyen Tan Tuan highly appreciated the goodwill of the investors. It was agreed that the investors would study the conditions to make a sound investment plan. However, Tuan noted that in case the investors invest in a liquefied gas-fired power project in Ninh Tinh Industrial Zone, they must build a separate storage area for liquefied gas and prepare a resettlement plan for local people.
