Assigning specific tasks
In the economic recovery plan, the provincial People's Committee requires departments, branches , and localities to be properly aware of the current socio-economic situation and define the task of recovery and development. Units need to coordinate closely to implement short-term economic recovery and development policies effectively associated with long-term trends. In the last months of the year, the province concentrated highly, seriously, drastically and urgently implementing the Government's solutions and the plans of the Provincial People's Committee.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns specific tasks to each department, department and branch. In particular, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Finance, the Provincial Tax Department, the Customs Department, and the State Bank of Vietnam – Khanh Hoa Branch continue to synchronously and effectively implement mechanisms and policies of the Government to support people, businesses and employees to overcome the difficulties of the Covid-19 epidemic, especially in terms of social security. The Provincial Tax Department have to extend tax and land rental payment; implementing the policy of exemption and reduction of a number of tax obligations for industries and fields heavily damaged by the Covid-19 epidemic.

In addition, branches and localities must strongly promote their growth in each field and each major project. For industrial production, the Provincial People's Committee requires the Department of Industry and Trade along with the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone to hold information about difficulties and problems of each industry group, field, and each enterprise to promptly to remove difficulties and problems for production and business. At the same time, The province will create favorable conditions for investors to speed up the implementation of existing projects, soon complete and put them into operation, contributing to local socio-economic development such as industrial infrastructures of Song Cau, Dien Tho, Trang E, Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant, Long Son Solar Power Plant, KN Van Ninh, etc.
To the service industry and tourism, the province asked to continue building and implementing the program to stimulate domestic tourism; stimulating domestic demand; promote trade promotion, application of electronic payment transaction technology; searching for new markets to ensure output for production and business. In addition, attracting FDI, bank credit, disbursement of public investment capital in 2020, etc. need to be also be promoted.
Restructuring the economy
In long-term development, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province requires departments, agencies, branches and localities to continue to strongly improve the business investment environment, remove problems in production and business, create motivation for businesses to develop. In particular, the whole province will accelerate restructuring the economy associated with innovating the growth model. In particular, the focus is accelerating the restructuring of economic sectors in the direction of improving productivity, growth quality, efficiency and competitiveness; maintain and develop service industries with a high concentration of knowledge and technology, focusing on developing logistics services; focus on developing tourism into a spearhead economic branch associated with environmental protection, developing supporting industries and occupations; attract investment to create diversified and attractive tourism products. At the same time, the province will strengthen connections with other provinces in the region and regional links to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of Khanh Hoa tourism.

To the industry, in the coming years, the province aims to strongly develop the province's clean industries and advantageous industries such as energy industry and processing industry. The provincial Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone are responsible for deploying motivational projects with high technology, developing rural industries and handicrafts to serve local and export needs, and contributing to job creation. The authorities will urgently accelerate the completion of infrastructure in industrial zones and clusters in the province in order to attract investment, production and business enterprises, contributing to stabilizing and generating new revenues.
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee plans to accelerate the restructuring of the agriculture in the direction of strengthening chain linkages, increasing added value associated with building new rural areas; and to invest in developing a large fishing center. Trade promotion activities to support for enterprises to directly promote products to consumers are also paid more attention. At the same time, the province will promote attracting foreign direct investment, associated with the requirement of transferring advanced technology and modern governance; implement investment promotion programs combining trade promotion, domestic and foreign tourism in order to save costs.
In particular, in the coming years, the Provincial People's Committee plans to bring into play the strengths of key regions as a driving force for socio-economic development; focus on building and promulgating mechanisms and policies allocating resources and attracting investment to promote the development of 3 key regions (Van Phong Bay, Nha Trang City and Cam Ranh Bay) of the province, partly making Khanh Hoa become one of the economic centers of the region and the country.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang, Van Phong Bay is identified as a key economic region, contributing to the development of the Central region and the whole province. Particularly in the northern area of Van Phong, in the coming time, the province will review the planning, develop a development strategy, research and propose specific mechanisms and policies on the basis of sea potentials and economic advantages (tourism, seaport logistics, trade, high-tech industry ...) to develop into one of the modern, breakthrough economic centers for the province and the region. Meanwhile, Nha Trang will focus on attracting investment in sectors and fields in accordance with planning; attach importance to investing in multi-functional cultural - art centers to serve the local people and tourists. As for Cam Ranh Bay, the province will focus on investing in industrial infrastructure, solar power projects, a large fishery center project in Da Bac port, etc.; soon complete and put into operation tourism projects in the east and the west of the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula tourist area in order to build Cam Ranh Bay area as the southern dynamic economic center of the province.
