According to Khatoco’s report, the plan of production, business and investment for the period of 2016 - 2020 has been implemented rightly. Remarkably, the corporation prioritizes investment in 2 projects: moving Khatoco Tobacco Factory and the tobacco production line of Khatoco Tobacco Factory in Trang E 1 Industrial Cluster.
According to Le Tien Anh - Chairman of Khatoco Members' Council, the period of 2016 - 2020 is very difficult time for Khatoco in terms of production and business, especially tobacco industry. In addition, the storm No. 12 at the end of 2017, the circulation of the storm No. 8 in 2018 and the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020 have caused serious damage to many production facilities, costing the corporation a lot of time and resources to fix. However, with the spirit of overcoming difficulties, keeping solidarity and promoting internal strength, the Khatoco Party Committee has led the unit to successfully complete the task of production and business, ensuring employment and raising income for about 5,000 employees. In 2020, while many industries have slow growth or decline, Khatoco strives to deliver 2,350 billion VND to the budget.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, Khatoco determines to focus on investment in strong fields to create momentum for both this period and the next. Khatoco determines to prioritize the implementation of the project to moving Khatoco Tobacco Factory to Trang E 1 Industrial Cluster and the project of a tobacco production line project at Khatoco Tobacco Factory. It is expected that the the relocation project will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2022 with an investment of about 325 billion VND. Project of production line for Khatoco Tobacco Factory with an investment of 30 billion VND is expected to be put into use in 2021.
In the period of 2021 - 2025, Khatoco also proposed to the provincial People's Committee to implement a project of investing in tobacco bagging machinery and equipment to diversify tobacco products in Khatoco Tobacco Factory, with an investment of about 130 billion VND. In addition, Khatoco also plans to pour annual capital to branches to invest in technology innovation, renovation and upgrading of production and business establishments with a total budget of about 120 billion VND.
