In 2020, despite difficulties in socio-economic development due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and other authorities still did many measures to support enterprises. Besides, the province continue to effectively implement Resolution 35 of the Government with the spirit of accompanying enterprises.
Deploying connection activities
In 2020, in addition to supporting enterprises to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic, the provincial People's Committee implemented supportive activities to connect businesses with large enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises, to link businesses to international markets, to connect production and business units under links of industries and value chains. In addition, some investment promotion programs have to reduce the scale, but the Provincial People's Committee actively propagated and promoted the image and potential strengths of the province through many online events. At the Vietnam - Japan local leadership conference in Da Nang (January 2020), Khanh Hoa had a booth introducing typical local products as well as policies, environment, potentials and opportunities for investment inthe province. Also in early 2020, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to welcome 160 delegates who were senior leaders of the agencies attending the ASEAN foreign ministers' conference in Nha Trang. Thereby, it created opportunities for foreign businesses to explore the potential for cooperation with enterprises of the province.
In particular, at the conference "Meet Korea 2020" held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi in June, the provincial People's Committee made bilateral exchanges on the sidelines of the conference with Korean enterprises to call for and promote investment in Khanh Hoa. It also was a bridge for agencies, units and businesses of the province to contact, meet and cooperate in investment with foreign partners, contributing to the general socio-economic development.
According to Tran Hoa Nam - Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, from the beginning of the year, the Provincial People's Committee has actively implemented socio-economic development plans for each sector and field. With the Central and local scientific funding, the province continues to support enterprises in implementing scientific research tasks, applying technology innovation, building linkage models and developing product value chains where enterprises are the nucleus. Then, product value will be improved step by step, meeting requirements for competition and serving domestic consumption and export. The provincial People's Committee also approved the plan to join at "Vietnam Expo 2020 - 30 years of accompanying enterprises" in order to introduce the potentials and strengths of industrial development in Khanh Hoa, attracting investors to Van Phong Economic Zone, infrastructure of industrial parks, industrial clusters and secondary projects.

Creating favorable conditions for businesses
Facing unpredictable situations of the Covid-19 epidemic, in 2021, the Provincial People's Committee set out a number of key tasks in order to facilitate businesses to develop. In particular, the province will continue to strongly improve the investment environment, cut some administrative procedures, remove problems in production and business, create motivation for businesses to develop, prepare conditions for land, infrastructure, human resources ... to attract investment. Besides, the province will synchronously and effectively implement mechanisms and policies as prescribed to support enterprises to overcome the difficulties of the Covid-19 epidemic; restructure debts, freeze debts freezing, reschedule debts, exempt and reduce loan interest, supporting preferential loans for industries and fields that suffer heavy losses due to the epidemic. At the same time, the province will restructure the economy associated with growth model innovation, focusing on restructuring of economic sectors towards improving productivity, growth quality, efficiency and competitiveness, and increasing the stamina of the economy.
According to Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in the time to come, the province will continue to impulse trade promotion activities, enhance support for businesses to directly advertise products to consumers in foreign markets, especially countries to which Vietnam has signed the free trade agreement; impulse the development of the domestic market in association with the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods". The province will also create favorable conditions for enterprises to introduce brands, products, buying and selling goods through Khanh Hoa E-commerce Exchange; implement investment promotion programs combining promotion in trade domestic and foreign tourism in order to save costs; and focus on investment promotion in place to solve difficulties and problems for investors and enterprises in implementing procedures of investment and business.
