The State budget revenue of Khanh Hoa Province in the first quarter of 2021 still showed positive signals, reaching and exceeding the estimated revenue progress in the context of many influences from the Covid-19 epidemic.
Many revenues reached and exceeded targets
Ninh Hoa town is one of the localities that deliver to the State budget well in the first quarter. Nguyen Minh Thu - Vice Chairman of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee said, as of March 31, the state budget balance collection in Ninh Hoa was nearly 141.7 billion VND, reaching 42.6% of the estimate assigned by the provincial People's Committee and 40% of target set by the resolution of the town's People's Council, as much as 94.7% over the same period last year. In which, some quite good revenues were land use fees (more than 33.4 billion VND, reaching 95.6% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and 60.2% of the target set by the Resolution of the town People’s Council), personal income tax (nearly 32 billion VND, reaching 127.9% of the estimate), revenue from the non-state sector (more than 43.1 billion VND, reaching 22% of the estimate)...
State budget revenue in local state-owned enterprises is also a bright spot in the overall picture of the whole province. In the first quarter, Khanh Viet Corporation delivered 711 billion VND to the budget, reaching 30.1% of the estimate, up 12.9% over the same period in 2020; Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company delivered 89 billion VND, reaching 27.8% of the estimate and increasing 27% over the same period; Khanh Hoa Lottery Company delivered 91 billion VND, reaching 42.5% of the estimate and 96.5% over the same period...
According to the report of the Department of Finance, the total state budget revenue in the province in the first quarter was VND 4,042 billion, reaching 29.4% of the estimate (exceeding by 4.4% of the revenue progress as estimated) and equaling 98.9% over the same period in 2020. In which, domestic revenue was 3,371 billion VND, reaching 29.3% of the estimate (exceeding by 4.3% of the progress of revenue according to the estimate) and 99.8% over the same period.
Deploying solutions to ensure revenue
Assessing the difficulties affecting the revenue of the first quarter and the whole year 2021, Vinh Thong - Director of the Department of Finance said: Although the first quarter State budget revenues exceeded the estimated revenue progress, but lower than that in the same period 2020 and previous years, leading to difficulties in balancing the state budget for spending on social security policies and buying Covid-19 vaccine for the people. The reason was that the Covid-19 epidemic directly affected the agriculture, industry, construction, trade, service... Besides, investment activities are also affected. Investment in the short and long term reduced, especially the foreign-invested sector and the non-State sector, affecting the State budget revenue in the province.
Based on the resolutions of the Government, with the drastic direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the close supervision of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee based on the practical situation of each stage to propose solutions, contribute positively to the results of implementing the "dual task" of preventing the epidemic and developing socio-economic, ensuring people's lives, striving to complete the State budget revenue task in 2021.
