The whole province has sown more than 20,000 ha of rice, the average yield is estimated at 66 quintals/ha. Root crops are 3,109.8 ha, food crops 2,481.6 ha, annual industrial crops 10,921 ha.
According to the forecast of the hydro-meteorological station in the South Central region, from April to May, the total rainfall was 20 to 30% lower than the average of many years. From June to August, the rainfall is forecast to be 10-20% higher than the average of many years. Currently, the storage in reservoirs in the province has reached 70% on average. This amount of water ensures irrigation for the 20,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice crop.

To prepare well for the summer-autumn crop of 2021, on May 12, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has requested the districts and towns to zone production and conversion of crops.
