In the first four months of 2021, the wood production from the planted forests was 16,630m3, a decrease of 20.52% in comparison with the same period last year; firewood production was 5,341 stere, down by 10.14%.
To ensure safety during the peak of dry season this year, the provincial People's Committee has directed localities and units to actively implement the forest fire prevention and fighting plan; strengthen inspections and instructions on making fires in and near forests, especially on slash and burn farming; combat illegal logging, storing and transportation of forest products; increase propaganda to raise public’s awareness and responsibilities on forest protection and development.
