The Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected Khanh Hoa's economy. From now to 2025, the Provincial People's Committee aims to maximize the potentials and advantages of the province, mobilize all resources and create a breakthrough in industrial growth. In particular, the focus is on encouraging infrastructure investment, innovating investment attraction models, developing high-tech industries, and a qualified technical workforce.
In addition, the province will promote strong trade development in the direction of modernity, fast and sustainable growth, develop 4.0 technology transaction methods associated with improving the reputation and quality of Vietnamese goods. At the same time, the province will restructure trade in the direction of innovation and digitization, technologyize business methods, effectively support enterprises and entities participating in the production and supply chain; construct and develop modern infrastructure.
Le Thu Hai - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that in the coming time, the main goal of the province is to develop industrial production in a modern, environmentally friendly direction, prioritizing the development of industries and attaching with national defense and security. At the same time, the province will build a favorable business environment, commercial development, and healthy competition; develop commerce on the basis of promoting the resources of enterprises and cooperatives in investment, development of commercial infrastructure in association with the socio-economic development program of the province.

| Khanh Hoa Province strives for industrial development index in the period 2021-2025 to increase by an average of 6.5%; the proportion of industry and construction accounted for 31.6% in the economic structure of the province; the proportion of manufactured industrial products reached 40% in the total industrial production value. For the 2 planned industrial zones and 6 industrial clusters, the infrastructure will be completely built and the average occupancy rate will be more than 80% of the industrial land area. In the field of trade, the province strives to achieve an average export turnover of 2 billion USD/year by 2025; total retail sales of consumer goods and services in the area to increase by an average of 9% per year. |

For the trade sector, the province will focus on investing in building, upgrading and renovating markets according to the model of commercial civilization and food safety with budget capital or socialization. The State facilitates administrative procedures for commercial infrastructure investment projects; focus on developing commercial infrastructure, convenience stores in rural, remote and island areas; encouraging the development of the model of general and specialized supermarkets and convenience stores. Especially, at this stage, e-commerce will be the top concern. The province will actively promote and apply information technology in the management of commercial activities; propagating and mobilizing enterprises to use modern payment methods in their business activities.

Therefore, the development of industry and trade to rebalance the economic structure as well as improve the growth rate of the province is an urgent solution. The Provincial People's Committee will create all conditions for investors to soon build projects in order to create jobs and increase revenue for the province.
