Implementing “dual goal” effectively
According to the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade, the industrial production index in 2021 decreased by 4.6% compared to 2020. In which, mining decreased by 29.66%; processing and manufacturing decreased by 4.49%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas and steam decreased by 2.77%; the water supply and waste - wastewater management and treatment decreased by 5.64%. However, a number of processing and manufacturing industries had an increase in production index compared to the previous year such as processing and preserving seafood and aquatic products (12.93% up), production of beer (12.19% up), printing and copying records of all kinds (6.83% up), production of sports equipment (23.66% up)...
Nguyen Sanh Duong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the Covid-19 had a negative impact on the production and business activities of industrial enterprises in the province. Up to now, industrial enterprises have basically resumed operations in conditions of safe adaption, effective epidemic prevention and control.
In order to limit the above difficulties and challenges, the Industry and Trade will continue to effectively implement the "dual goal" of preventing the Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation, and restoring production and business according to the current situation in order to promote the achieved results for economic development, ensuring social security of the province.

At the conference to summarize activities in 2021 and deploy tasks in 2022 of the Industry and Trade sector, Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked the Department of Industry and Trade to focus on effectively implementing the Action Program of the Provincial Party Committee on the orientation of building the policies to develop national industry to 2030, with a vision to 2045 in the province and Khanh Hoa Industrial and Commercial Development Program for the period of 2021-2025. In addition, the Industry and Trade sector will intensify meetings, exchanges and dialogues to capture information as well as accompany enterprises in production and business in order to promptly remove difficulties for enterprises. On the other hand, the industry creates favorable conditions for businesses and investors to complete works and projects, including Song Cau industrial cluster, Trang E 2 industrial cluster, Dien Tho industrial cluster, Ninh Xuan industrial cluster, and Ninh Xuan industrial cluster and projects related to the Industry and Trade.
