According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, under the drastic direction and administration of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the economy of the province in the first quarter showed signs of improvement as many economic indicators increased over the same period last year. In which, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 4.6%; industrial production index increased by 6.5%; total retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by 7.1%; commodity export turnover increased by 3.1%... Most notably, tourism revenue increased by about 55.2%.
During the first quarter of the year, businesses in Van Phong Economic Zone as well as industrial parks and industrial clusters resumed operations. The provincial People's Committee directed the industries to focus on reviewing and solving difficulties and obstacles, creating all favorable conditions for investors to accelerate construction progress and complete existing industrial infrastructure investment projects such as infrastructure of Ninh Thuy Industrial Park, industrial clusters of Song Cau, Dien Tho, Trang E, Ninh Xuan...; and focus on attracting enterprises for secondary investment in order to create a driving force for industrial production development of the province.
Nguyen Tan Tuan - The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that the socio-economic situation in the first quarter has prospered thanks to the close and drastic leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee along with solidarity and consensus of all levels, branches and localities. In particular, Khanh Hoa successfully completed 10 years of implementing the Politburo's Conclusion No. 53 on construction and development of Khanh Hoa province to 2020 with vision to 2030. Thereby, the Politburo has issued Resolution No. 09, dated January 28, 2022 on construction and development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with vision to 2045. This is the driving force to strongly arouse the determination to recover and develop the economy and the society of the province in the coming time.

Focusing on effective implementation of solutions
In order for economic indicators to keep increasing in the second quarter, the Provincial People's Committee determined to effectively implement safe and flexible adaptation measures and effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic; ensure social security, order and safety; synchronously and effectively implement mechanisms and policies as prescribed by the Government to support people, businesses and employees to overcome difficulties caused by the epidemic, and quickly support production and business recovery. The provincial People's Committee focuses on implementing the Action Program of the Provincial Party Committee to implement Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on construction and development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with vision to 2045; continue to prepare sufficient resources to serve the pilot construction of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province.
The Provincial People's Committee will also regularly monitor and grasp the world situation and guide of the central ministries and branches to promptly develop solutions to proactively cope, adapt, maintain stability and develop the economy of the province; continue to removing difficulties and obstacles in production and business; timely support for people and businesses in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the Party and State…
Along with that, the province will accelerate the implementation of the general planning work; approve the completion of district-level land use plans for the 2021 - 2030 period; review, adjust and proceed to cover construction zoning planning and urban zoning planning in the area of districts, towns and cities. Simultaneously, the province will implement national target programs for the period of 2021 - 2025 synchronously and effectively; well implement policies towards people with meritorious services, social security work, jobs and income for employees; reduce the rate of poor households, especially in the ethnic minority areas of the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh.
