Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just promulgated the Implementation Plan of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2022. According to the plan, this year, the province has 62 products participating in the program in four industry groups: food, drinks, herbal - handicrafts and decoration.
This year, Van Ninh district has 18 products registered to participate, including some familiar products such as Van Thang agarwood, Van Tho coconut, Van Hung garlic... Nha Trang has 9 products registered to participate, 8 of which are made from bird's nest and seaweed. Ninh Hoa town has 12 products... For Cam Lam district, mangoes and products made from mangoes are still 4 main ones. This year, Khanh Vinh district has 2 products. Cam Ranh has 5 registered products, in which lobsters, goat meat, apples... are strong products. Khanh Son district has up to 10 products such as tea, bamboo shoots, bananas, durians… Dien Khanh district has 2 products, including Dien Tan rice and Binh Loc bottled water.
It can be seen that the products registered to participate in this year's OCOP program have more or less confirmed their quality in the market. The products are also associated with the traditional and distinctive values of the region. Registering to participate in the OCOP program will help these products better in terms of production process, quality, packaging, labels, distribution channels, etc., to meet the increasing requirements of the market and help promote the products better.
According to the plan, the total budget for the implementation of the OCOP program in 2022 is more than 9.9 billion VND, including 7.6 billion VND from the provincial budget and the rest from the reciprocal capital of the participants. More than 6.5 billion VND is spent to support product development such as: building trademarks, making geographical indications, improving packaging designs, machinery and equipment... In addition, the funding is also for propaganda, registration of ideas, receipt and implementation of business plans, organization of product evaluation, etc.
According to Huynh Quang Thanh - Director of the Rural Development Sub-Department, in order to well implement the OCOP program in 2022, from May 25 to May 31, the sub-department worked with the Economic Department and the Department of Agriculture and Development of Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Cam Lam, Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son; directly surveyed at a number of production facilities to learn and consult to support the implementation of the program. Through the survey, the mission found that, compared with the initial list of registered ones according to the approved plan, there are many potential products, advantages and characteristics in the localities.
