Impressive growth in industrial production
In the first nine months of 2022, the industrial production index of the province increased by 25.36% over the same period last year. This is the highest growth rate in the past 10 years (the average annual growth rate of about 7-8%). This year, the growth rate of the following quarter is always higher than that of the previous quarter. Specifically, in the first quarter, the industrial production index increased by 14.94%; the rate of the second quarter increased by 18.12%; the rate of the third quarter increased to 49.08%. The province's industry has impressive growth partly because in 2021 the province's industry is affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In the first nine months of 2022, a strong recovery in production created a very high growth rate compared to the same period last year.

Nguyen Sanh Duong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: "Besides objective factors, from the beginning of the year until now, the Provincial People's Committee has actively implemented solutions to support and remove difficulties for businesses to restore production and business activities. Along with that, industrial enterprises in the province have recovered and developed strongly; consumer demand of the market gradually stabilized and increased again, creating conditions for the production of consumer goods to grow. For example, beverage production increased by 29.37% due to strong development of food service, restaurants and hotels after a long period of influence of the Covid-19 epidemic; food production and processing increased by 20.56%, this is also the field that accounts for the largest proportion in the province's industry, especially seafood processing and preservation increased by 18.82%”.
Continue supporting for businesses
In order to help businesses in general and industrial enterprises in particular have conditions to develop, in the coming time, the provincial People's Committee will continue to have policies to support production and business enterprises. In particular, the province requested relevant departments and agencies to step up monitoring and remove obstacles in key projects of the province, such as lowering capacity of Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant and 220kV Nha Trang – Thap Cam transmission line; coordinate with the appraisal units to relocate electrical works related to the Eastern North - South Expressway Project and Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway (phase 1).
From now until the end of the year, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State Company Limited to organize an investment promotion conference in Song Cau Industrial Cluster (Khanh Vinh district). At the same time, the department is responsible for appraising and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee on adjusting the decision to establish Ninh Xuan Industrial Cluster (in Ninh Hoa town); summarize the operation situation, difficulties and obstacles of infrastructure investors and enterprises in industrial clusters.

According to Nguyen Sanh Duong, in the last 3 months of the year, in addition to the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade also focuses on developing local industrial promotion plan for 2023, trade promotion program for 2023, plan to serve the Lunar New Year of 2023.
