After the Covid-19 epidemic is under control, the need for capital to create jobs is huge. Therefore, the Central Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) has just added 30 billion VND to Khanh Hoa province's VBSP to meet the needs of policy beneficiaries.
2 years ago, Nguyen Thi Tung's family (in Da Mai village, Dien Tan commune, Dien Khanh district) was lent 50 million VND from the VBSP's job creation loan program to plant dozens of pomelo, tangerine and mango trees in the garden of more than 1 ha. Up to now, the orchard has started to be harvested, with a turnover of more than 100 million VND/year. “Through the entrustment of Dien Tan Commune Women's Union, recently, I received an additional loan of 50 millio VND n from the job creation program. From this capital, I bought seeds and planted 500 coconut trees interspersed in tangerine and pomelo orchards to have a more stable source of income in the future," said Tung.
Vo Van Dinh Thach's family (in Khanh Thanh Nam village, Suoi Cat commune, Cam Lam district) has also received a loan of 50 million VND to grow mangoes. Mango orchard is the main source of income for the family, so the policy credit loan has helped his family have more motivation to invest in building a business model.
After the Covid-19 epidemic is under control, the demand for capital for job creation is increasing, especially for producing households in the fields of agriculture, services, and small-scale businesses. According to a report by the provincial VBSP, from the beginning of the year to October 31, the sales of loans to support job creation, maintenance and expansion reached 488.8 billion VND, with 10,554 borrowers. Up to now, the total outstanding loan of the program in the province is more than 867.7 billion VND, with 21,763 outstanding customers. This capital has created jobs for many workers in the area, restored production and business and contributed to raising people's income.
Le Van Thanh - Head of the Department of Planning - Credit Operations of the provincial VBSP said that, through the review in the localities, currently, the demand for loans to solve jobs of the people in the area is very large, especially small-scale production and business establishments and workers in agricultural and rural areas. To meet the needs of policy beneficiaries, in September 2022, the provincial VBSP proposed and was allocated an additional 30 billion VND by the Central Bank for Social Policy. The provincial VBSP has allocated this capital to the provincial headquarters of 5 billion VND, 5 billion VND for Cam Ranh, 5 billion VND for Dien Khanh, 6 billion VND for Ninh Hoa, 4 billion VND for Van Ninh and 5 billion VND for Cam Lam. Localities are disbursing this additional capital and is expected to complete it by the end of November.
In addition, the provincial VBSP also actively coordinated with local authorities to focus on reviewing loan demand in 2023 to report to the Central Bank to be allocated from the beginning of the year, timely solving the need for job creation for the people...
Determining that lending to create jobs is one of the important programs to help people develop their economy and reduce poverty sustainably, in the coming time, the province's VBSP will co-integrate with other lending programs to create resources enough for people to invest in production development; continue to coordinate and widely propagate policy credit programs according to the Government's Resolution No. 11 on the program of socio-economic recovery and development to people and beneficiaries in the province; accelerate the disbursement of the allocated capital in accordance with regulations fast and accurately.
