Co.opmart Nha Trang reserved space at the entrance to the supermarket to display and sell Tet items, such as gift baskets, beverage, confectionery ... for customers to buy Tet products. This year, Tet comes early, so right from November, supermarkets have started preparing goods with an increase of 30-50% compared to normal days, depending on each commodity group. For fresh food products, the supermarket has actively worked with producers and suppliers to prepare enough goods to meet consumer demand during Tet. The supermart also has promotional programs to stimulate consumer demand.
Lotte Mart Nha Trang supermarket has also actively stocked up on Tet goods, increasing by 50% compared to weekdays and by 20 to 30% compared to the same time last year. Commodities are mainly focused on dry food and spices, such as sugar, fish sauce, salt, rice, confectionery, jam, etc. On the other hand, supermarkets are also implementing many discount programs for retailers. Supermarket system MM Mega Market Vietnam also plans to stock up 40-50% compared to weekdays. Particularly, fresh food and essential items, confectionery and jam increased to 100%. Supermarkets are also committed to actively responding to the price stabilization campaign, increasing the supply of items participating in price stabilization, focusing on essential food items.
According to Phan Thi Thu Cuc - Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in order to prepare goods to serve consumers in the last months of the year and during the Lunar New Year and Lunar New Year 2023, from September, businesses in the province has prepared input materials to start production. Compared to last year, this year, enterprises producing goods for Tet increased by about 30%. Up to now, supermarkets and commercial centers in the province have basically finished preparing stockpiles for Tet, increasing by about 50% on average. Prices have not fluctuated much.
“The provincial Department of Industry and Trade closely monitors and assesses the commodity market's movements, proactively plan to ensure the supply of essential products, to prevent shortages of goods, especially items with high consumer demand during Tet.
