Ho Van Niem, a senior jujubee grower in Quang Hoa village (Cam Thanh Nam commune) said that throughout the jujubee season from July to August of the lunar calendar until now, the price of apples is always high, from 13,000 to 15,000 VND/kg . Thanks to that, his family has a good income, about 300 million VND on about 7,000m2.
The jujubee farm of Niem and other farmers is covered with nets to prevent yellow flies, which have caused loss of revenue for apple growers for many years. After being instructed by the authorities and the cooperative to grow Cam Thanh Nam jujubees, the jujubee growing areas were covered with a net to prevent yellow flies with an average investment cost of 15 million VND/pole. As a result, it has contributed to improving the quality and production of apples. In addition, in the past 2 years (2020 and 2021), Cam Thanh Nam Jujubee Farming Cooperative also supported farmers with fertilizers and pesticides with a limit of 4 poles/household.
Tran Van Quan (Quang Hoa village) has 8 poles of jujubee cultivation, earning about 40 million VND/pole. Quan said that now, jujubees continue to flower for the second time, farmers will harvest them on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023. The price of jujubees is likely to be higher at the end of the year.

Cam Thanh Nam jujubee has achieved 3-star OCOP certification, so the cooperative is building its own logo for the brand for the industry to comment and appraise.
Ngo Van Nhe - Chairman of Cam Thanh Nam Commune Farmers' Association said that the jujubee crop in Cam Thanh Nam usually lasts from seventh lunar month to the Lunar New year, with 2 flowering periods. Currently, phase 1 has been harvested, phase 2 will be harvested on the occasion before and after Tet. This year, the jujubee crop is bumper, the weather is favorable and windy, the selling price is high, averaging 13,000 - 15,000 VND/kg, grade 1 can be up to 20,000 VND/kg. The yield remains at 40-50 tons/ha. Currently, the jujubee growing area is concentrated in areas in Quang Hoa village with about 40 hectares, so it is easy to manage, prevent disease and harvest.
