At the conference to summarize sugarcane materials in the 2021-2022 crop year and orientate the investment policy of the 2022-2023 crop just held by BHS-NH, the business and more than 500 typical sugarcane growers, representing thousands of sugarcane farming households in the raw material areas of BHS-NH have the same opinion: Sugarcane in the past crop year had positive signals in both yield and selling price. Since then, the efficiency of sugarcane has been significantly improved compared to before. In the crop year 2021-2022 (harvested from December 2022 to about April 2023), BHS-NH continues to invest and support to encourage farmers to take care of sugarcane for high yield. Intensive technical solutions were underground plowing, microbiological fertilizers, sugarcane varieties, especially spraying inoculants for nearly 3,000 hectares.
In the next crop year, BHS-NH will have strong investment and support policies to help farmers feel secure in growing sugarcane with high yield, reducing production costs to bring higher profits. Along with the application of high-tech technical solutions to intensive farming in production and the investment of farmers, the company believes that the yield of the next crop will increase by 10 to 15%.
In the 5-year development strategy (2021-2025), BHS-NH focuses on implementing solutions to improve the yield and quality of sugarcane in order to achieve the goal of an investment area of 10,000 hectares, an output of 700,000 tons, and a higher sugar yield of 7-8 tons/ha.
