Adjustment of general planning of Van Phong Economic Zone announced

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee recently held a conference in Ninh Hoa Town to inform the officials and people of Ninh Hoa Town and Van Ninh District about the adjustment of the general construction planning of Van Phong Economic Zone to 2040, with a vision to 2050. Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; and the leaderships of the provincial departments and sectors attended the conference.
 

Handing over the project on adjusting the general construction planning of Van Phong Economic Zone to two localities

The adjustment of the general construction planning of Van Phong Economic Zone to 2040 with a vision to 2050 was approved by the Prime Minister on March 27, announced at the Conference on Master Plan Announcement and Investment Promotion of Khanh Hoa Province in 2023 on April 2. Accordingly, Van Ninh District will become a high-class marine ecotourism urban area; Ninh Hoa Town will be an industrial urban area with harbors.

According to the development orientation, Van Phong Economic Zone with 19 subdivisions is divided into 2 areas. The northern Van Phong area (Van Ninh District) has 12 subdivisions, including high-class tourist areas on Hon Lon Island and Hon Gom Peninsula, international transshipment port, international tourist port, port logistics facilities, urban areas, tourist areas, green spaces, and so on.
The southern area of Van Phong (eastern area of Ninh Hoa Town) has 7 subdivisions, including container transshipment port, general port, industrial complexes, warehouses taking advantage of deep-water ports, urban areas, tourist service areas, mangrove ecological spaces, and so on.

Le Huu Hoang directed that the Management Committee of Van Phong Economic Zone to promptly make zoning plans based on the approved adjustment to call for investment and carry out the projects in Van Phong Economic Zone, etc.
