Khanh Hoa’s PCI reaches highest point over past 10 years

According to the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2022 report released by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on April 11, Khanh Hoa Province ranks among top 30 provinces and cities with the best administrative quality in 2022 on 67.74 points, placing 16th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country, up 28 ranks compared to 2021. Khanh Hoa ranks 2nd after Da Nang in the south central and highland region. This is the highest PCI point of Khanh Hoa since 2012. This is also the year Khanh Hoa has the highest rank and point over the past 10 years.

The 2022 PCI report was made based on the responses of 11,872 businesses, including 10,590 private businesses and 1,282 foreign-invested businesses in Vietnam. Since the launch of the first PCI survey in 2005, 176,496 businesses have participated in the surveys, reflecting different aspects of Vietnam’s business environment. In 2022, Quang Ninh Province ranked first with 72.95 points, Bac Giang Province ranked second for the first time with 72.80 points; Hai Phong City placed third.


In the 2022 PCI report, VCCI, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its private partners introduced and announced the Provincial Green Index (PGI). This is the index evaluating and ranking localities’ environmental friendliness. In the first year of launching, Tra Vinh Province, Lang Son Province and Bac Ninh Province occupy top three positions. Khanh Hoa stands at 34th out of 63 provinces and cities.
