Implementing key tasks to develop Van Phong Economic Zone in 2023

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document directing the management board of Van Phong Economic Zone to cooperate with related units to urgently advise the committee on putting the conclusion of the Standing Steering Committee of Van Phong Economic Zone Development on implementing some key tasks in 2023 into effect.

According to the conclusion of the Standing Steering Committee of Van Phong Economic Zone Development, in the time to come, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee will direct the management board of Van Phong Economic Zone to closely review and complete the map and related documents of the adjustment project of Van Phong Economic Zone construction master plan approved by the Prime Minister; and announce the master plan according to regulations. The Provincial People's Committee soon issues a specific plan to implement the next steps of the projects whose memorandum was signed at the Conference on Master Plan Announcement and Investment Promotion of Khanh Hoa Province in 2023. Resettlement areas need to ensure synchronization in technical and social infrastructure and be commensurate with the orientation of future urban development scale.

A corner of Van Phong Economic Zone

The Provincial People's Committee prioritizes allocating medium-term public investment capital from 2021 to 2025 to accelerate the building of resettlement areas and site clearance in order to attract investment projects to Van Phong Economic Zone.

Regarding investment in transport infrastructure, the Provincial People's Committee needs to give priority to three important traffic projects, including coastal route from Van Luong Commune (Van Ninh District) to Ninh Hoa Town; National Highway 26B connecting Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway to Southern Van Phong Port; Provincial Road 1B (section from Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. to Ninh Tinh Hamlet).
