Attention to developing e-commerce

On June 29, Khanh Hoa Department of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) cooperated with the Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association to organize a seminar on "Digital transformation solutions for production and commercial units in Khanh Hoa Province". Representatives of nearly 60 businesses in the province attended the seminar.

At the conference, Tran Van Trong - General Secretary of the Vietnam E-commerce Association said: "Starting from the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of consumers shopping online has increased dramatically. People also began to form a habit of surfing shopping sites on social networks; businesses as well as state management agencies are also more active in digital transformation. It has created a big trend in e-commerce and online business; creating momentum for the digital economy to develop strongly in the coming time”.

Nguyen Sanh Duong - Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade affirmed that at present, most businesses have well grasped market trends, implemented a variety of sales channels, and met the new needs of customers. However, businesses also face many difficulties and challenges in terms of capital, human resources, technology... in the process of digital transformation. This requires synchronous solutions of state management agencies, as well as businesses, to promote the development of digital transformation in the commercial sector. Therefore, this workshop will create an opportunity for manufacturing and trading enterprises in Khanh Hoa to share difficulties and access new technologies, solutions and products in the field of digital transformation. In addition, it also supports businesses to promote goods and products, combine online business, in order to reach a large number of consumers in the country and neighboring countries.

At the seminar, experts and representatives of solution providers exchanged and shared experiences on e-commerce applications for businesses. In particular, the Vietnam E-commerce Association has come up with basic solutions for e-commerce in the coming time; at the same time committed to support packages for businesses of the province.

Representatives of enterprises also raised difficulties and challenges in the application of e-commerce in production and business; how to approach sales packages on social networking platforms, electronic floors... Dang The Truyen - Director of Cam Lam Online Co., Ltd. pondered: "After the Covid-19 epidemic, people have known more about the market and how to sell online; small businesses in rural areas also have more access to e-commerce. However, with the development of digital technology, that access is not enough. It is hoped that in the coming time, relevant agencies and the Vietnam E-commerce Association will create more favorable conditions for businesses with OCOP (One Commune One Product) products in digital transformation applications to operate production and business activities".

Nguyen Sanh Duong assessed that the workshop has partly suggested and introduced more solutions on digital transformation in production and business activities. Businesses and service providers have found a common voice in accessing effective technology and digital platforms. In the coming time, the department will focus on propagating, training and developing e-commerce human resources, developing products and solutions, supporting the integration of online payment solutions, improving management capacity and organizing e-commerce development activities. At the same time, the department also promotes the application of e-commerce, supports key export industries, expands consumption for domestic goods; supporting the distribution of key agricultural products, OCOP products and products of small enterprises and agricultural production households on digital platforms.
