Summer tourism season promises to make a breakthrough

With positive numbers during the holidays of April 30 and May 1 holiday, Khanh Hoa province's tourism is expected to continue to grow in both domestic and international markets this summer. Currently, many travel and tourism companies have promoted marketing and launch of new products to attract guests to come and relax in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

Many interesting events

According to a report of the Department of Tourism, during the holiday of April 30 and May 1, the province welcomed nearly 200,000 visitors, including more than 181,000 domestic ones and nearly 18,500 international ones. In addition, tourist attractions in the province welcomed 598,500 visitors. Total tourism revenue of the ceremony reached more than 854 billion VND. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism assessed, the marketing of tourism and the initiative of tourism businesses have created many new and attractive tourism products, promoting the demand for enterentertainment, shopping, sightseeing of tourists ... is the "key" to the success of tourism in the province in the last holiday. The assurance of security and safety of tourism activities during the holiday is of concern to the locality, which has contributed to the prosperity of tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

With many attractive events, VinWonders Nha Trang is expected to attract a large number of tourists this summer.

Currently, many businesses have planned to organize large activities for summer tourism. Most recently, on May 9, VinWonders announced the Wonder Summer 2023 program with the focus of the WonderFest lasting for 45 days at VinWonders Nha Trang. Opening on June 1, WonderFest 2023 simultaneously launches the first new entertainment blockbuster "Flying Cinema" in Vietnam; Tata World themed children's day with the participation of 150 children; series of events of the Great Water World War refreshing summer day in the jubilant atmosphere of music and dance; indigenous food fairs honoring regional specialties; sea sports day for the family… According to plan, in 6 weeks, WonderFest at VinWonder Nha Trang will have a series of "continuous festivals" with 131 activities and entertainment events, nearly 800 shows and minishows; especially a large-scale international music festival with the participation of music superstars from the UK, the US and the hottest artists in Vietnam. 

Especially, this summer, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa has many cultural, tourist and sports events such as: Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival (early June), tourism and movie linking program in Khanh Hoa (end of June), the 2nd Nha Trang Paragliding Festival, the 2023 VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang (scheduled to be held on August 13)… “With many exciting events, we believe, the province's tourism will attract a large number of visitors this summer" shared Nguyen Thi Le Thanh. Pham Minh Nhut - Vice Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association also said that with the advantages of sea and island tourism, Khanh Hoa will attract a large number of visitors in the upcoming peak tourist season.

Positive bookings

Currently, the number of guests booking resort rooms for the summer has increased, especially on weekends. Travel agencies in the province have offered summer tours and have had positive signals. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Xanh Travel and Tourism Company Limited (KHAXA TOUR) said: “The number of tourists booking tours and learning about tours to Khanh Hoa is quite large, especially delegations from the North and the Central Highlands region. Besides, the number of tourists traveling with personal vehicles is increasing. They often book resort rooms, go to new places to choose tours, attractions ... ".

Tran Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourism Company, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Travel Association, said that this summer is considered the golden season of tourism in Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa in particular. With promotional activities and stimulus programs, it is forecast that the province will welcome a large number of visitors in the summer, soon completing the goal of welcoming 4 million tourists in 2023. 

In 2023, the province's tourism industry aims to welcome 4 million visitors, including 2.5 million domestic tourists and 1.5 million international visitors; striving for tourism revenue to reach 21,000 billion VND. According to statistics of the Department of Tourism, in the first four months of the year, the whole province welcomed more than 1,150,000 tourists, up 148.9% over the same period in 2022, of which there were more than 361,000 international visitors and more than 789,000 domestic visitors. Total tourism revenue in 4 months is estimated at more than VND 6,054 billion, up nearly 139.9%.
