July industrial production index increased by 35.48% over same period last year

According to Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Statistics, the province’s industrial production index in July was estimated to increase by 8.41% over the previous month and by 35.48% on the corresponding period last year. Specifically, production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air-conditioning increased by 67.04% and by 3.7 times; water supply and waste and wastewater treatment industry rose by 3.88% and 7.88%; mining industry dropped by 0.08% and increased by 1.63%; processing and manufacturing decreased by 5.13% and went up by 8.35%.

In 7 months, the province’s industrial production index grew by 11.31% over the same period last year. The industries with the highest growth index include: production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air-conditioning (up by 89.67%); water supply industry, management and treatment of waste and wastewater (increased by 7%); processing and manufacturing (rose by 3.68%). Some industries saw a decrease in industrial production index such as: machinery and equipment manufacturing (0.34%); non-metallic mineral products manufacturing (9.5%); production of beds, cabinets, tables and chairs (11.33%); wood and products from wood, bamboo processing, and products from straw and plaiting materials production (14.23%); food processing and production (16.46%); apparel production (21.3%).
