2023 safe agricultural product fair connects sea and forest specialties

The 2023 safe agricultural product fair and the conference on the consumption of quality and safe agricultural products in two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak held in Nha Trang recently are occassions for the two provinces to exchange and connect agricultural products of forests and the sea as well as concretize the socio-economic cooperation that the two provinces have signed.

The 2023 safe agricultural product fair with 21 booths displaying typical agricultural products of the two provinces partly created opportunities for businesses to connect and trade with each other. Nguyen Ngoc Viet - Director of the Provincial Sub-Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Quality Management said that agricultural products participating in the fair not only were required for origin and quality certification, but also had characteristics of the two provinces. While Khanh Hoa had strengths in sea products and fruits that have affirmed its brand, Dak Lak brought to the fair mountain and forest specialties.

Products of Khanh Hoa province at the fair were bird's nest, sea grapes, fish sauce, processed seafood, Khanh Son durian, mango, Cam Lam jujubee, Khanh Vinh green-skinned grapefruit, etc. Products of Dak Lak province were coffee, honey, tea, mushroom, natural essential oil, herb, wood. It is easy to see that in the list of products participating in the fair, there are many products with high processing content; OCOP products (One Commune One Product program), organic products, products manufactured on modern production lines...

Along with the fair, a conference to connect the consumption of quality and safe agricultural products in Khanh Hoa - Dak Lak were held. Here, professional agencies, manufacturers and consumers of the two provinces will exchange and discuss the potentials and opportunities to connect and consume safe agricultural products of the two provinces; introducing some key features in production and business activities of agricultural and aquatic products as well as demand for safe agricultural products in the two provinces. The conference saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding on consumption between businesses of the two provinces and a memorandum of coordination to carry out work in the fields of investment, trade promotion, and consumption of agricultural, forestry and fishery products according to the cooperation program between the two Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak signed in early June 2023.

Products at the fair have clear origin.

According to Nguyen Ngoc Viet, this activity is an opportunity to promote, trade, seek cooperation, and link product sale; a place to connect manufacturers with distributors, creating conditions to support businesses and producers to meet, exchange information, and promote links in production investment as well as supply and consume strong agricultural products of the two provinces.
