Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department proactively supports businesses

On September 26, Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department organized the second dialogue between the customs and enterprises in 2023, with the participation of more than 30 businesses in the two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan. At the conference, the Customs promptly answered a number of businesses' problems related to customs law.

According to the report of Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department, recently, through many consultation forms like directly, by phone, in writing, through the department's electronic information portal..., the unit has promptly provided and propagated customs legal policies so that businesses can proactively grasp changes. In the first 9 months of 2023, Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department organized 1 customs - enterprise dialogue conference at the department level and 10 dialogue conferences at the sub-department level; received and answered 36 petitions from businesses related to import and export procedures, tax policies... Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department also maintains the efficiency of the consulting group at the department and sub-department levels, thereby receiving, guiding and answering 80 problems of businesses. According to Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department, most businesses comply well with the provisions of customs law; production and business grew well and contributed a lot to the local economy. However, there are still businesses that violated customs laws and were punished. Specifically, from the beginning of the year until now, Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department has issued 48 decisions to sanction administrative violations.

At the conference, Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department introduced legal documents on customs amended, supplemented and promulgated in 2023 such as Decision No. 15 of the Prime Minister regulating the application of normal tax rates to imported goods; Decree No. 44 of the Government regulating the reduction on value added tax; Circular No. 33 of the Ministry of Finance regulating the origin of exported and imported goods...

Speaking in conclusion at the dialogue, Phan Thanh Son - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department said that the unit will continue to accompany, support, and promptly resolve difficulties for businesses in the process of implementing customs procedures; and organize regular consultations with businesses when there are problems arising from changes in legal regulations.

From the beginning of the year to September 14, 166 enterprises carried out import and export procedures at Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department, an increase of 5.06% over the same period in 2022. Khanh Hoa Province Customs Department collected more than 1,751 billion VND to the State budget, reaching 82.04% of the assigned plan target, down 35.33% compared to with the same period in 2022.
