With dozens of large-scale livestock farms, applying advanced methods, modern technology..., the development of livestock farming is an effective direction in Khanh Vinh district.
Popular cold farm model
The 20,000 chicken broiler farm following the cold farm model of Doan Ngoc Vien (Ba Dui village, Khanh Binh commune) is located in a shady coconut garden. More than 10 years ago, his chicken farm only raised chickens that laid eggs for processing for CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company. After that, the company encouraged people to switch to the model of raising broiler chickens, cold, closed farms, and biological padding floors that bring more benefits. From the old chicken farm, Vien completed the farm, installed an automatic feeding system, cooling fans, surveillance cameras and many other equipment with an investment value of 700 million VND. During the raising process, chicken feces falls onto the biological bedding so it does not pollute the environment. By the time the chickens are sold (2-3 months), the feces are also collected, bagged, and consumed. The company provides food, veterinary medicine, technology, and product consumption. Farmers monitor the chicken's development every day without wasting effort on feeding and cleaning like before. Vien said that with the above scale of chicken farming, his family earned 250 million VND after about 3 months.
As for the industrial-scale pig farm of Huynh Thi Chin - Director of 30-4 Nha Trang Co., Ltd. in Khanh Hiep commune, it has an area of more than 20 hectares, her farm produces 5,000 weaned piglets every month. This is a livestock farm following the advanced closed model of the Thai CP Group, ensuring thermal stability and disease safety. During the farming process, manure and wastewater are treated with biogas and biological ponds. After separating the water, they are bagged, stored and sold to biofertilizer facilities in Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces.
According to Phan Hai Dang - Vice Chairman of Khanh Binh Commune People's Committee, currently, the entire commune has 5 pig farms with more than 20,000 pigs; 4 chicken farms with more than 100,000 chickens... Farm farming activities in the area are developing with a closed, cold farm model, applying advanced livestock solutions in terms of food and veterinary medicine, environmental protection products and automation technology.
