Focusing efforts on key projects

Currently, Khanh Hoa Province Development Project Management Board is the investor in 18 projects, including many key projects with a large workload and must make every effort to complete as planned. In 2024, the provincial Development Project Management Board is determined to accelerate the progress of projects and complete the public investment disbursement plan.

In the first days of 2024, the construction site of the provincial Children's Cultural Palace Project became bustling with tens of excavators, trucks and more than 200 engineers and workers working hard. After holding the groundbreaking ceremony in mid-December 2023, the provincial Development Project Management Board is currently trying to speed up the construction progress of the provincial Children's Cultural Palace Project, striving to inaugurate the project on June 1, 2025. The provincial Development Project Management Board is also making efforts to remove obstacles in site clearance and speed up construction progress for other projects.

Among the 18 projects that the provincial Development Project Management Board was assigned as the investor, many projects encountered difficulties in site clearance, leading to the progress of disbursement of public investment capital not meeting the plan. For example, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Program (CCESP) Nha Trang has a total investment of 1,380 billion VND, implementation period from 2017 to June 2024. With high determination, the provincial Development Project Management Board strives to complete Component 1 items by June 2024 and deploy related procedures to implement the remaining items of Component 2.

For the Project to build the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, up to now, the total project site has been approved, the landscape architecture plan has been selected, and at the same time, the project site has been approved. The project has a total investment of 544,662 billion VND. Currently, the project is being designed with construction drawings, expected to be approved in February and its construction will start on April 2, striving to complete 50% of the project volume in 2024 and inaugurate construction on September 2, 2025. The project to the saltwater preventing dam on the Cai River in Nha Trang has a total investment of about 759.5 billion VND and has completed 78% of the contract volume. Currently, the contractor has suspended construction from December 2023 because the ground is not suitable for construction. However, the board still aims to complete and put the project into use in the fourth quarter of 2024. The provincial Development Project Management Board strives to carry out the handover of resettlement land to households in the area of phase 1 (completed) at the Ngoc Hiep Resettlement Area Project. Strive to implement the Construction of Kim Bong River Bridge Project is expected to complete 50% of the work volume in 2024. At the same time, complete and Le Quy Don Gifted School Project (phase paragraph 2) is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2024. The project to repair and embellish the Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel relic will be executed in the second quarter of 2024.
Nguyen Thanh Hien - Director of the provincial Development Project Management Board said that in 2024, the board will actively urge and coordinate with localities and relevant agencies to accelerate each stage of ground clearance.
