Van Ninh: Speeding up construction progress of key projects

Contractors are mobilizing maximum human resources, machinery and equipment to speed up the progress of key construction projects in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province to soon complete and put them into operation.

The coastal embankment project of Van Gia town (phase 2) was approved for investment by the provincial People's Committee in August 2022 with a total capital of 110 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Van Ninh district. This is an important project connected to the phase 1 embankment that has been completed and put into operation. The project's purpose is to prevent coastal erosion and protect people's lives and property, especially during the rainy and stormy season. Up to this point, the contractor has completed 89% of the contract volume. Currently, the contractor is focusing on 3 construction phases to complete the leveling part and deploying the road for management and operation. It is expected that by June 2024, the coastal embankment project (phase 2) of Van Gia town will be completed and put into operation.

Executing embankment in Van Gia town

Another key project of construction investment in the district is the embankment project to protect both sides of Ba Buong river (section from National Highway 1 to Tran Hung Dao street, Van Gia town). The project was approved by the Van Ninh District People's Committee as a construction investment project on July 4, 2023 with a total capital of nearly 120 billion VND, assigned to the Van Ninh District Construction Project Management Board as the investor. The project has a large leveling volume, about 7 hectares; investing in the construction of a new concrete embankment with a length of more than 1.2km along with items on the embankment. Recently, Van Ninh District People's Committee has approved the contractor selection results. It is expected that in March 2024, the project will begin construction and be completed in 2025.

Currently, the Huyen 2 Bridge construction investment project is meeting difficulties in compensation and site clearance. This project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee at the end of August 2021, with a total capital of nearly 157 billion VND, assigned to Van Ninh District People's Committee as the investor. The project has an investment scale to build a pre-stressed reinforced concrete bridge with a length of more than 84m, with a bridge width of 16m (the carriageway is 10m wide and the sidewalk is 3m wide on each side)... Huynh Ngoc Liem - Director of the District Construction Project Management Board said that up to now, the contractor has completed 39% of the contract volume. The contractor is mobilizing machinery and equipment to organize the construction of bridge piers and girders.
