In order to enhance brands and create motivation for people in ethnic minority areas to develop production, a number of units and cooperatives in Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh districts have made efforts to bring local products to Co.opmart Nha Trang.
Right at the entrance to Co.opmart Nha Trang, many customers are attracted by stalls displaying products of Khanh Vinh District and Khanh Son District. Products are displayed in an area dedicated to OCOP products. Choosing to buy Khanh Vinh's green-skin grapefruits, Chi Hieu (in Phuoc Hai ward, Nha Trang city) shared: "My family loves eating Khanh Vinh's green-skin grapefruits. The products sold in supermarkets have been carefully selected and tested for quality, so they are safe and have reasonable prices."

All Khanh Vinh green-skin grapefruits on the shelves of Co.opmart Nha Trang are provided by Hieu Linh Farm Product Production and Purchasing Cooperative in Khanh Vinh town. Currently, each month, the cooperative brings into supermarkets more than 4 tons of green-skin grapefruits grown according to VietGAP standards and OCOP products grown by the cooperative and a number of ethnic minority households in the area.
Doan Van Huong - Director of the Cooperative said: "The cooperative has 14 members; Of which over 90% are ethnic minorities. In addition, the cooperative is working with more than 20 grapefruit growing households in the area to link production to bring high quality products to the market. Over time, the product became known to more and more consumers, so sales were very good. From the beginning of the year until now, sales volume at supermarkets has doubled compared to 2023. This is a good sign, creating motivation for the production development of cooperatives and people in the district."
Tabai banana honey of An Hoa Farm (To Hap town, Khanh Son district) with a sweet taste and a faint honey-like scent sold at Co.opmart Nha Trang is also attracting consumers. The product is made from bananas grown by people following the direction of clean agricultural products. Nguyen Thi Huong Thanh - business manager of An Hoa processing facility (An Hoa Farm) said: "In 2022, with the connection support of the authorities, An Hoa products began to be put on supermarket shelves such as banana honey, dried bananas, banana vinegar, red beans, pepper, lemongrass essential oil... After the product makes debut, it was well received by consumers so the supermarket proactively contacted An Hoa Farm to provide products regularly. Bringing goods into modern sale channels such as supermarkets has proven the product quality, quickly reaching consumers, contributing to introducing and raising the level of a popular agricultural product among the people. Since then, many products of ethnic minorities are sold."
In recent times, the State has had many programs and policies to support production investment in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, but output for agricultural products still faces many difficulties. Therefore, the fact that some units and cooperatives have brought products into the supermarket distribution system is a remarkable development step, contributing to forming a market for products of the mountainous areas.
