Khanh Hoa's socio-economic growth rate in the first 6 months of the year is among the top in the country. In particular, fields such as industry, tourism, construction, export and budget delivery have achieved encouraging results.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the province's socio-economic situation continues to achieve many positive results, contributing to gradually completing the socio-economic goals of the whole year 2024. Economic indicators and fields all increased compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the industry has made the highest increase with 46%. Some industrial products have a high production index compared to the same period last year, for example, electricity production increasing 7.6 times (as Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant has come into operation and operates at full capacity; all kinds of beer increasing by 11.9%; sugar increasing by 11.5%; frozen seafood increasing by 15%... Nguyen Trong Hoang - Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade said that in addition to the sharp increase in the industrial index, recently, the province has also focused on directing and accelerating the completion progress of the projects. Infrastructure construction projects of industrial parks and industrial clusters are being implemented such as Ninh Thuy Industrial Park, Trang E 2 Industrial Cluster, Dien Tho Industrial Cluster phase 2 and Ninh Xuan Industrial Cluster. The project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure in Doc Da Trang Industrial Zone has also been approved by the Prime Minister for investment policy. Besides, in the first 6 months of the year, the province's total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue has been estimated at 62,585.4 billion VND, an increase of 15.2% over the same period last year. Export turnover of goods is estimated at more than 1 billion USD, up 17%. In particular, Khanh Hoa tourism has done marketing in China (Shanghai abdZhejiang), Kazakhstan, Thailand... The province has organized to welcome business delegations of foreign businesses and travel agencies (from Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia...) came to survey Khanh Hoa tourism; coordinated with tourism businesses in the province and airlines to research and develop tour programs, promotional travel combo packages, and preferential prices to stimulate demand to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa in 2024. At present, there are 17 flights from Korea to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa every day; 16 flights from China; 5 to 7 flights/week from Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia. Tourism revenue in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at more than 26,072 billion VND, an increase of 97%. Khanh Hoa welcomed nearly 5.2 million visitors, an increase of 88% over the same period. Of which, international visitors are estimated at nearly 2.4 million visitors, 3.2 times more than the same period; domestic visitors are estimated at 2.8 million visitors, an increase of 40% over the same period...

The province's seafood export has achieved many positive results.

According to Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in the first 6 months of 2024, under the comprehensive, in-depth and timely leadership of the Provincial Party Committee along with the supervision and companionship of the Provincial People's Council and the Delegation Provincial National Assembly; agencies, units and localities in the province have continued to make efforts and drastically direct and operate in all areas of work. Therefore, the province's socio-economy continues to maintain high growth momentum over the same period. Right from the beginning of 2024, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches, and localities to drastically deploy and synchronously implement the Government's resolutions, continuing to remove difficulties for production and business, implement the socio-economic recovery and development program effectively; promote industrial restructuring towards increasing the proportion of processing and manufacturing industries and reducing the proportion of processing and assembly; focus on removing difficulties from large-scale industrial projects in the area to soon put them into operation and increase production capacity for the economy.

The province's economic growth rate (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated to increase by 12.7% over the same period last year, ranking second in the country; in which GRDP by economic sector is estimated to increase by 13.8%. GRDP of industrial and construction economic sectors increased by 28.8% (in which, industry increased by 35.3%; services increased by 8.8%). State budget revenue is estimated at 9,370.8 billion VND, equal to 56.2% of the estimate and up 23%; including ,600.8 billion VND of domestic revenue, reaching 52.1% of the estimate and increasing by 15.9%. Total investment capital for social development in the province is estimated at 32,899.2 billion VND, an increase of 10.3%.
