The province's economy in the first 6 months of 2024 maintained a high growth rate; many investment promotion programs and activities were organized, opening up many opportunities for local economic development. The province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of the year was estimated at over VND31,226 billion, up by 12.73% over the same period last year, ranking 2nd nationwide and leading the north central and central coastal regions.

Many other economic indexes also increased compared to the same period last year, such as industrial production index (46.36%), total social development investment capital (10.25%), total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue (15.14%), tourism revenue (96.82%), export turnover of goods (16.85%), and total state budget revenue ( 23.05%).

The provincial authorities continued to paid attention to the fields of culture, society, education and health; carried out promptly and effectively policies for the elderly, social protection beneficiaries and people with difficult circumstances; organized many unique cultural and art activities.
