With its own potential and strengths in agricultural production, especially fruit trees with high economic value, in recent times, Khanh Son district has actively organized many markets and festivals to connect supply and demand, supporting people in consuming agricultural products.
Many activities organized
Every Saturday morning of the last week of the month, Bo Bo Thi Phuong (Hap Cuong Residential Group, To Hap Town) brings chickens, bamboo shoots, wild vegetables, and wild bananas to sell at the To Hap Town Market. Maintained since September 2023, this market has helped ethnic minority households in the area exchange and sell agricultural products or handicrafts made by themselves. "To Hap Town Market has mainly stalls of ethnic minorities, with typical local agricultural products and forest products such as clean vegetables, wild vegetables, black pork, bamboo shoots, honey, wild bananas, lingzhi mushrooms, fruits, handicrafts woven from bamboo, rattan, etc., attracting many people in the district to the market. In addition, at the markets, there are also tourists from outside the district and province coming to visit, experience and buy local products," Phuong said.

In order to connect product consumption for farmers, in mid-October, the district coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize the 2024 Farmers' Trade Fair in Khanh Son. Accordingly, this fair took place simultaneously at 3 locations: To Hap Market (To Hap town), Son Lam Market (Son Lam commune) and Ba Cum Bac Commune Cultural House. This fair promoted activities to introduce, promote, consult, buy and sell agricultural products and agricultural materials in the locality; expand the market for products and contribute to increasing people's income. At the same time, the fair also created opportunities for farmers and representatives of cooperatives, cooperative groups and fertilizer and agricultural materials enterprises... to meet, find partners, connect supply and demand, cooperate to develop production and business as well as contribute to expanding value chains in agricultural production in the district.
Previously, the 3rd Khanh Son Fruit Festival held in mid-August 2024 was successful in attracting more than 18,000 visitors. The agricultural product trading and exchange activities consumed 127 tons of agricultural products from farmers. At this festival, the district also organized a conference to connect supply and demand for local agricultural products; through which many farmers signed contracts to consume agricultural products with large purchasing facilities inside and outside the district... "I appreciate the fact that the Khanh Son District People's Committee has connected agricultural product purchasing enterprises with gardeners and farmers in the area to develop a chain from production to consumption. This will help improve the quality and competitiveness of agricultural products, especially Khanh Son durian when exported", said Tran Thi Kim Quy - representative of Minh Loi durian purchasing facility (Son Binh commune).
